Fungi Hunting – a super fun research expedition for the Growing Material Cultures project and part of the bigger AwhiWorld Strange Intellgences Lab project.
Local expert and recent AwhiWorld interviewee, Caley McGillvery kindly leant her expertise for a Saturday jaunt into AH Reed Park to hunt for fungi. The goal was to understand what native and local mushrooms are in our presinct and see if they could be incorporated in the wider project and perhaps included in some way in the research Professor Frances Joseph is doing in the local community.
