Workshop One in our Growing Material Cultures project was delivered at Maunga Kura Toi’s studio in Raumanga and delivered by Professor Frances Joseph and Caudine Naselu.
It covered how to grow Bacterial Cellulose and also Mycelium – as well as inducted participants into Frances’s research project. Kits were provided to all that attended and the group will be working together over the coming months to innovate and create fabulous new fibres from their new found knowledge.
