AwhiWorld and AI

AwhiWorld has been using various aspects of AI in their work for several years.

More recently, we have begun supporting others to ride the wave of change that AI is brining to society.

In 2023 we produced a large public seminar, AI Unravelled, delivered by Craig Neilson in Whangarei, Te Tai Tokerau.

In 2024, we started rolling out small workshops on specific topics to support various commercial and not-for-profit organisations across New Zealand. The first was 14 Feb 24 at Rawene with the Hokianga Community Education Trust Committee (image above).

Delivered by Jarred Taylor, the Introduction to AI—Using the ChatGPT Tool workshop covered the benefits of AI, ChatGPT best practices, using AI responsibly, and advanced features and customisation.

In April 2024, we delivered an online seminar to members of the Creative Practice Network (led by Angela Rowe). The group, primarily creative practitioners and artists, learnt about how AI will impact them and some of the ways they can use it to support their practices.

Feedback has been extremely positive, and more workshops are planned in the latter half of 2024.
