Interview with Jodie Armstrong-Downes – Nature and Forest Therapy Guide

Jodie Armstrong-Downes is a Certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, founder of Noga, and a creative thinker with a deeply embodied connection to Mother Earth.

Over the past decade, her well-being journey has included vision quests, fire quests, and extensive study of nature connection practices, meditation, and karma yoga.

Drawing from 15 years of experience inspiring creative teams globally, Jodie now dedicates herself to helping others rediscover their innate bond with nature. Based in Whangarei, she leads transformative forest bathing experiences, nature connection workshops, and tea ceremonies – which she brews herself using carefully crafted botanical blends.

Jodie’s gentle, authentic approach creates a safe space for participants to slow down, open their senses, and tap into the wisdom of the natural world. Her mission is to make forest bathing a regular and accessible part of everyone’s self-care routine, igniting creativity and cultivating a profound relationship with the earth and one’s inner self.

In this interview, Jodie discusses her deep connection to the strange intelligences in nature.

This discussion took place in the context of the Strange Intelligences Lab.
